This category of steel tubes is generally made out of MS Galvanized Sheets. There are many preventive coatings (natural & synthetic) which are applied either before or after the production of tubes. In the recent technological innovations and analysis by the experts, it has been proved that the tubes made by galvanized sheets are giving very good durability, stability, adherence as well as a longer sustainability without atmospheric corrosion.

These technological phenomenon are adopted by the steel manufacturers for enhancing their market potential as well as the profitability as they have very optimum cost control parameters.

The coating is uniform and the thickness of the coating can be maintained as agreed between, which depends on the atmospheric and corrosive environment prevailing at individual sites. The overall look & finish is very aesthetically controlled. Having a homogeneous coating all through, these tubes can easily withstand any mechanical deformation without affecting their catalytic coating and the bonding of zinc coating with the parent material remains unchanged.

This gives a very good impression to the fence & green house fabricator. Strict in-house quality checking is performed which helps in maintaining all conditioning parameters as per the standards laid down.

Oxygen Lance Pipes used in the manufacture of metals like Steel, Copper and Zinc. The plain Lancing pipes are ERW Mild Steel Pipes, drawn as per the required size. The pipes have a higher tensile strength because of the cold drawing process. Therefore they will not easily bend during lancing. The edges are prepared as per the requirement of the customer. The ends can be plain or threaded. The threads are as per BSPT standards. The threaded pipes are provided with a coupling at one end and a PVC Cap at the other end. All pipes are tested by air pressure at 6-7kg/cm2.

Traditionally an Plain Lance Pipes has been used. The material of construction is Low Carbon Steel (Mild Steel), Electrically Resistance Welded (ERW) in the shape of a pipe. Since the molten metal is Steel or Copper or Zinc, and the pipe is of Mild Steel, the pipe melts into the Molten Metal, at the end which is dipped into it. Besides because of the high temperature of the Molten Metal, the pipe also gets oxidized and melts faster into the Molten Metal. Hence the pipe gets consumed and has to be replaced.

The rate of replacement decides the cost of production. Therefore in order to contain the cost it is imperative to reduce the rate of replacement of these pipes.

Ceramic Coated Pipes do exactly this reduction in the rates of replacement. As against the usage of 2.5 pipes of plain Mild Steel variety, one has to use only 1 plain Ceramic Coated Pipe. The cost of the plain Ceramic Coated Pipe is not 2 ½ times the cost of the plain Mild Steel pipe. Hence there is a net savings in the cost of pipes used.

Burning Lance / Thermal Lance is also a steel pipes but it is packed with a combination of wire rod inserts. This product developed, for the purpose of increasing the heat quantity generated from the lance, by improving the cutting efficiency with the cutting core wires of several pieces built in the combustion steel pipe. The difficult-to-cut materials in gas cutting and mechanical cutting i.e. not only limited to iron, steel, the stainless steel, alloy brass, non ferrous metal, ceramic, etc. can be simply and quickly cut off and bored without noise and vibration at the high temperature of 3600o F. it is optimum for cutting and boring concrete, special steel, cast steel, pig iron, slag and refractory. Heat source is not required for the equipment. It burns at a higher temperature than the normal oxygen Lance Pipes.

Calorised lance pipe is made up of 5 layers. At the core is a high quality mild steel lance pipe. By calorisation, a thickness of 100-150 microns is imparted on outer surface, and further coating with refractory materials in 200-300 microns thickness on both inner and outer surfaces, the diffusion is an inter metallic bond, which doesn’t get damaged either by mechanical working like bending or straightening or by high temperatures. In the case of metal diffused pipes, the metal existing at the surface of the diffused zone is oxidized to the respective oxide, which prevents the further progress of oxidation and also melting.

Hot rolling is a metalworking process that occurs above the re-crystallization temperature of the material. After the grains deform during processing, they re-crystallize, which maintains an equated microstructure and prevents the metal from work-hardening.

The starting material is usually large pieces of metal, like semi-finished casting products, such as slabs, blooms, and billets. If these products come from a continuous casting operation the products are usually fed directly into the rolling mills at a proper temperature. In smaller operations, the material is at room temperature and must be heated. This is done in a gas- or oil-fired soaking pit for larger work pieces and for smaller work pieces induction-heating is used. As the material is worked the temperature must be monitored to make sure it remains above the re-crystallization temperature.

To maintain a safety factor a finishing temperature is defined above the re-crystallization temperature; this is usually 50 to 100 °C (122 to 212 °F) above the re-crystallization temperature. If the temperature drops, the material must be re-heated before hot rolling.

Galvanized sheet / coil is defined as a carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on both sides. Continuous hot dipping, or electro-galvanizing are the two processes used to produce galvanized sheet / coil. Generally speaking, the hot-dip process consists of passing the steel through a bath of molten zinc. The electro-galvanizing process consists of the application of zinc by electrolytic disposition. The result is a layer of zinc tightly adhering to the base metal through an iron-zinc bonding layer.

A zinc coating is one of the most effective and economical methods of protecting bare steel from a corroding environment. The zinc not only serves as a barrier between the steel and the environment, it will sacrifice itself to protect the underlying steel sheet. Sacrificial or galvanic protection occurs when two dissimilar metals are in contact and coupled with water and oxygen. Zinc corrodes preferentially to the iron in steel. This protection prevents corrosion of the steel at areas not covered with zinc. Thus, the spread of corrosion from cut edges, drill holes, etc. is minimized.

Corrugated galvanised sheet is a building material composed of sheets of hot-dip galvanised mild steel, cold-rolled to produce a linear corrugated pattern in them. The corrugations increase the bending strength of the sheet in the direction perpendicular to the corrugations, but not parallel to them. Normally each sheet is manufactured longer in its strong direction.

Corrugated galvanised sheet is lightweight and easily transported. It was and still is widely used especially in rural and military buildings such as sheds and water tanks

TMT bars, or Thermo-Mechanically Treated steel bars, are best described as the new generation of high-strength steel. TMT bars are known for its superior properties, such as weldability, strength, tensility and ductility. The unique ribs allow superior bonding strength between the TMT bar and the concrete. It produces TMT bars that are characterized by being extremely fire, earthquake and corrosion resistant. TMT bars are also malleable, flexible and weldable.
